On this episode, we count down the results of a poll on the most worthy comedies that weren’t nominated for Best Picture or Best Screenplay.
Comedies are notoriously ignored at the Oscars, which is fairly ridiculous but not particularly likely to change. On this week’s episode of 11 Points Countdown, my two favorite movie experts/critics/dudes and I tackle all the snubs.
This episode is focused on comedies that did not receive Oscar nominations for either Best Picture or Best Original/Adapted Screenplay. So there are some on the list that got nominations for an actor or makeup or a song — but didn’t get the nominations that really reward the quality of the comedy in the film.
My co-hosts are David Bax and Tyler Smith of Battleship Pretension. They’ve been on many times in the past and I always really enjoy mentally jousting about movies with them.
As always, if you enjoy this video, please subscribe to the YouTube channel. You’ll get to see new episodes before anyone else and it will help a lot with the future of the show. Thanks!
