Crazy bread, crazy cereal, crazy video game systems that almost were.
Welcome to another edition of the Best Picture I Saw This Week…
Second runner up: Watermelon bread (note: does not taste like watermelon)
This comes from Taiwan (so if you guessed “Japan,” you lose). A bakery created bread that looks just like a watermelon but, apparently, just tastes like regular bread. Regardless, it just seems so unnatural.
First runner up: And speaking of unnatural..
The Internet has a wonderful power of uniting people who, in the past, would’ve believed themselves to be alone in their antisocial behavior; now they can find like-minded people all over the world to join together in collective deviance. The case of the “ice in cereal” movement fits there. Thanks to social media, those who put ice in their cereal made a push to find others who do the same. I’m not sure why none of them has thought to make ice cubes out of milk, but they really didn’t ask me.
The winner!
This is a photo of an actual “Nintendo PlayStation” prototype, from when the two companies almost joined forces in the ’90s. The partnership obviously fell through and they each went their own way — but until now, there was no photographic proof. For a classic video game aficionado, this is like seeing a McWhopper.
